Issues with AMX.com Profile/Login Resolution

1. When I click Enter AMX University, I get my profile screen over and over again.

Enable cookies for amx.com. If the problem persists, be sure you have a valid Company ID in your account profile.

If you don't have or don't know your Company ID, contact service@amx.com for additional assistance.

2. I don't have a Company ID.

  • A company ID is generally intended for dealers, independent programmers, consultants and other industry partners.

If other individuals in your company are active with AMX University, ask them to share their ID with you.

    Contact service@amx.com for additional assistance.

  • New requests for Company IDs are subject to review and additional processing.

  • AMXU will not be able to assist your training needs until you have successfully entered AMX University at least one time.

3. I just changed dealers and/or company. When I enter AMX University, all my Achievements have disappeared.

It's likely that you have inadvertently created two AMX.com profiles, and your new profile doesn't contain your training records.

  1. Login into AMX.com with your old email address and password.
  2. Click My Account, and update your Company ID and email address.
  3. The next time you Enter AMX University, you should see your records/achievements.

If your old login doesn't work, you have questions, or need assistance with this issue, email TrainingHelp@amx.com.

Registering for Courses Resolution
1. I am new to AMX University, where do I start?

Download Course Registration Instructions

2. What's a Learn Track, and why am I registered in so many classes?

A course is a single topic, while a Learn Track is a pre-defined bundle of courses.

Some Learn Tracks lead to ACE certification while others simply bundle related courses together for easy access (i.e. AMXpert)

Canceling a Course Registration Resolution
1. I registered for a class, and I can't attend. How do I cancel my registration?
  1. Enter AMX University.
  2. Click Learn Tracks & Courses.
  3. Click View bubble adjacent to the enrolled course.
  4. If your class start date is > 30 days from today, a Cancel bubble will appear after you click View (upper left-hand of course info screen).
  5. Click Cancel to cancel out of that class session.
  6. If your class start date is < 30 days from today, you will not see a Cancel bubble.  You must email traininghelp@amx.com to cancel the registration.

OnDemand Course Troubleshooting Resolution

1. When I click Launch, no course window appears. What is the solution?

A pop-up blocker is preventing the course window from opening. Note that many browser toolbars have pop-up blockers.(Google, Yahoo, and MSN)

Add http://amx.learnflex.net to pop-up exclusion list or disable all pop-blockers.

2. When I complete an OnDemand course, why does the screen still display In Progress in my learn track?

Recently, Google toolbar (and other browser Add-Ins) in conjunction with Flash Player 10 have caused some users to experience issues with course results and reporting to AMXU.

Turn off your Google toolbar or use a different browser, and retake the quiz.

3. I re-open a course that I have started, and I just see a gray screen?

Some courses track where you left off, and they are taking you back to that screen. A gray screen will appear as the course reloads.

4. My course seems to run slowly or freezes.

  • Many internet connections may have intermittent drops in connectivity. Although your course has started, it is still downloading content in the background. Once you have established connectivity, re-launch course.

We also recommend a connection that is delivering a mininmum of 100-200 kb/s. Test your connection speed at speedtest.net*

  • You may also need to update to a newer version of FlashPlayer.

  • Various browser plugins and add-ins may be preventing the course from communicating with AMXU. Many of these browser additions are added for extra security and prevent communication with various servers.

Turn off, disable, or add http://amx.learnflex.net to the trusted sites list for these types of browser additions.

* If you still have trouble, screen capture (ALT+PrintScrn) the speedtest.net result and email to TrainingHelp@amx.com.

5. My browser freezes or crashes when I launch a course.

A common issue with browser dependent courses is the number of toolbars, extensions, add-ons, and plug-ins that may be installed. These applications cause browser communication conflicts with AMXU or even prevent courses from playing.

  1. Disable add-ins and extensions and test course. Be sure that FlashPlayer is still running or course will not run.
  2. Try an alternate browser.
  3. Internet Explorer 7 is the recommended browser for AMX University. See Minimum Requirements below.

Email TrainingHelp@amx.com with the following:

  • Operating System
  • Browser
  • Browser Plugins/Toolbars
  • FlashPlayer Version
  • Course Title
  • Description of issue

6. I completed the Course Evaluation, and my learn track is still not showing complete.

AMXU's Course Evaluation will accept many course evaluations, however, it will not move to achievements.

If the Course Evaluation is located in the required section of a learn track, it is holding the track from completion so new classes may be added in the future.

Printing Certificates
1. How do I print my course/certification certificate?
  1. Enter AMX University
  2. Click “My Achievements” at the top right of the screen.
  3. Click “All Courses” to see all courses completed, achievement date and grades.
  4. You can click “View” to see an online certificate of completion.
  5. Click File, select Print
  6. Verify that the correct printer is highlighted and click Print.

2. When I print my certificates from achievements the background does not appear.

The Print Background option in your browser is disabled. Click HERE for instructions.
